Kingston is a smaller coastal town in Plymouth County, Massachusetts. The town was first settled in 1620 and its early economy was dominated by shipbuilding and ice harvesting from Jones River Pond. The town became more popular in the 1990s with the construction of a commuter rail line that connects the once-rural Kingston to Boston. Kingston is now a largely residential bedroom community popular with Boston commuters.
