Hopedale is a smaller town in Worcester County, Massachusetts with a population of about 6,000. Hopedale was originally settled in 1660 and its long history is apparent in its New England small town charm and architecture.
A drive through Hopedale is like a step back in time with many historic Colonial homes and restored farmhouses. Hopedale has many white Colonial homes that have been renovated over the years, most of which are situated on sprawling acreage with 1,500 to 2,500 square feet of living space. The town also has many homes built during the 1980s, many in the style of historic Colonial homes. Cape Cod style homes are found in Hopedale, but not in large numbers. There are also some smaller ranch-style homes built in the 1950s and 1960s. While the real estate market in Hopedale is dominated by single-family residential properties, there are a few townhouse and condominium complexes in town, many of which have been built in the last decade.
