Hardwick MA Open House Schedule - View Sunday‘s Schedule

Hardwick, Massachusetts is a small town located in Worcester County, about 20 miles west of Worcester. With a population of almost 3,000, Hardwick includes the villages of Old Furnace, Wheelwright, Gilbertville, and Hardwick. The town is home to the country's oldest annual fair and its agricultural roots are still evident throughout the area.

New construction and condominiums are a rare sight in this historic town. Historic Colonial homes and farmhouses dominate the real estate market. Antique Dutch Colonial homes in Hardwick have stood since the mid-19th century and many retain the old-world charm with newer renovations and updates. Wood-burning stoves are common in Hardwick homes and most homes have about one acre of private land with gardens and tree-lined streets.

The classic Cape Cod architecture style is also common in Hardwick with many historic Cape Cod homes dating to the early- and mid-19th century. The Cape Cod style of home is an early regional style found in New England and one of the most recognizable styles of architecture with a short, stout frame. Many Cape Cod homes have gambrel roofs, sometimes with small dormers in the top.
