Berkley was officially incorporated as a town in 1735, and it has been slowly growing ever since. Today, Berkley is home to about 6,500 people and is situated in Bristol County. It is the county's least populated town and is considered quite rural. In fact, some would say that little has changed since its earliest days of agrarian farming.
Berkley offers about 16.4 square miles of land. On this land sit many homes originally built in the 1700s. This bedroom community is quiet with plenty of open space to roam and build upon. The landscape is largely peaceful with sprawling views, with homes offering traditional styles amid more modern ones.
Multi-story homes in a variety of styles are available, but the prevailing theme seems to be colonial architecture in blues, grays, and whites. Picket fences, large green yards, and waterfronts are all available with Berkley real estate.
Berkley is neighbored by Dighton and Taunton. With plenty of housing options, it is easy to see why so many are interested in Berkley's real estate choices. Interested in learning more about moving to Berkley? Sign up for an open house to learn more about housing options in town.
